How to Be Famous
Aug 4th
First, not to discourage anyone, but are you really sure you want to be famous? First consider the following nearly universal drawbacks of fame:
CONS:
Stalkers. Famous people can be an easy target for obsessive fans and people who live vicariously through the lives of others. This is a chance that all famous people know they are taking.
Lack of trust in your relationships. Once you are famous, you may never be able to fully trust people again because it is quite possible or even probable that they may be around you purely because you are famous.
Jealousy. People may seem to hate you for no reason, especially online where bashing celebrities is many people’s favorite past-time.
Hangers-on. You will constantly have people approaching you whether it is just to meet you, get your autograph, take a picture, hang out with you to try to become famous themselves, etc.
Viewed under magnifying glass. Imagine you make a small mistake in your life as your life is now. Now imagine that mistake broadcast to the entire world and everyone you know will find out about it. This could include divorce, saying something inadvertently offensive, or anything else you might be able to imagine. News travels fast in the celebrity world and people love gossip.
No Privacy. This one is pretty obvious but still important to consider. It could get very annoying that you will all but give up your privacy. Paparazzi, publicists, agents, producers, everyone will want a piece of you and a piece of the pie. It can get very tiring!
With that said, HOWEVER, obviously fame has its perks!
PROS:
The pros include wealth, often extreme wealth beyond your wildest dreams! No worries about bills, debts, cars, fine homes, all of it is the finest and most luxurious in the world. How fabulous!
People will go crazy over you. This is the ultimate in ego satisfaction! You will receive special treatment more often than not, no matter where you go or what you do. Despite all your wealth, you can expect regular “freebies” for most of your favorite products and services. In addition, your fans will look up to you and you will have an influence over people that you never had before.
Sooooooo, if you still want to be famous after considering the pros and cons, there are many resources available to help you along in your search.
HOW TO BECOME FAMOUS:
Here are some ideas to get you started:
Be the absolute best at something, almost anything will do as long as you are the best. In theory you can also do the reverse and be truly awful at something, just humiliate your way into the book of world records or become known on a reality TV show for how awful you are. This type of fame tends to be more fleeting but for a while you will enjoy being recognized just for being terrible at something if you are in the right place at the right time and you are bad enough. With that said, most people would rather achieve fame for an actual talent, so if you have something close to one, hone it until you can proudly say you are one of the best and then show it off whenever and wherever you can!
Be the first to achieve something major and great. This could be anything from curing a disease to inventing a very useful item that finds its way into homes everywhere.
Be generous. Overly so if you can afford to. People will seek you out simply for donations and you will be admired for your selflessness. Just make sure you hire a publicist to let everyone know how kind you are!
Networking with who you know and getting to know more people. Become a “people person” and network, network, network! Surely there is someone at least moderately famous in your area. Can you approach them somehow? Is there a service they may need or anything you can provide? For free perhaps? Sometimes people become famous by association with someone who is already famous and the payoff will come as the connections gradually expand to other famous people and opportunities.
Become an actor. Auditions are easy to come by and you can start on any level. If you are good, you may get a role in something! A similar but somewhat obvious idea is to try modeling if you are lucky enough to be young and beautiful.
Volunteer. At the right places of course! Try to snag an internship at a movie company or a record label. Assist an agent, publicist, or producer. The possibilities are endless as everyone loves free labor!
Believe in yourself. You will never become famous or indeed succeed at anything if you don’t believe it is possible first. The more confidence you have, the more that will show and it will help you become famous when you meet the right people to help along the way.
Write a book. If you can write a bestseller and sell the movie rights, you will almost certainly become famous as a result!
Are you funny? Become a comedian. Lots of comedians are famous even if they aren’t that funny.
Do you like politics? Get involved! Run for a local government position and see where it leads you. Politicians are famous.
Do you like sports? Get involved! Try out for local teams. Or work with sports stars in any capacity and you can become famous by your association with them.
Find an agent. Whether you are an athlete, actor, musician, writer, inventor, performer, or almost anything else, chances are you will need someone to help you make the right contacts and take the right steps. This is where an agent in your particular niche can become an extremely valuable helper! Even if you start with a lesser known agent and work your way up to a more influential one, having an agent will almost always expose you to better opportunities than you could find on your own.
Are you talented at something? Anything at all? Determine what your highest and best talent is and build on it as much as humanly possible. Hire a publicist if you can afford to to get the word out about how talented you are at your particular talent. And post yourself on YouTube performing your particular talent. Send the link everywhere you can, whether in your signature line at forums, on Facebook, etc. Do this wherever and whenever you can.
Marry someone famous. This may sound easier said than done, but remember the more famous people you can hang out with, the greater the likelihood that you will end up dating or marrying one of them. To achieve this, you may have to relocate to a city where there are a lot of famous people, such as Los Angeles, CA or New York, NY. Use the gyms that celebrities use, eat at restaurants where they eat, shop where they shop, visit bars and clubs where they party, etc. If you can’t afford to go to the same places celebrities visit, then get a job there and the celebrities will literally come to you!
Persist. Above all, and whatever you do, don’t quit. Very few people become famous “overnight” and most worked years to get to where they are today. If you quit, you will not become famous.
Above all, do NOT be too pushy or desperate as people can see this and it will turn off almost everyone!

Make Money As a Paparazzi!
Jun 24th
I’m going to go into detail on how make money as a paparazzi. There are two types of paparazzi you have the amateur and the professional. Both types of paparazzi can make allot of money. The first step in making money is finding the celebrities, without a celebrity making money will be impossible. The easiest and best way to find out where celebrities go is to do a Google search for the following keywords; Celebrity Events, Celebrity Hot Spots, Celebrity Spotting, Paparazzi hot spots, etc… Write down all the locations where celebrities frequent so you don’t forget the locations.
Now that you have the locations you will now need to buy a camera. The type of camera you buy should be based on whether you want to do it as a fan or professional paparazzi. I recommend starting out slow and buy a cheap point and shoot camera. Make sure the camera is at least 5 mega pixels. If you decide to buy a professional camera buy a min Canon 20D which can be purchased for about $300 on eBay or Craigslist. I recommend a 50 D. assuming you purchased a professional camera now you need a flash for night shooting. I recommend min a 430 EX and high end you can get a 530 EX 2.
Ok now we will talk about what kind of paparazzi pictures sell. Once you see a famous person wait for them to do something like eating, kissing a friend, buying something etc. The idea is to catch them doing something! Just taking a picture of them walking sometimes isn’t good enough. I’ve made tens of thousands of dollars off pictures of celebrities making out in nightclubs. The money shots are celebrities doing drugs, drinking, car accidents, fighting, signing autographs at movie premiers, you get the picture. Now that you got the money shot next thing is to find a paparazzi agency that will edit, market your celebrity pictures and sell them to the tabloids.
Now the question is how often and when do you get paid? Your first check from an agency can take up to 12 weeks often sooner. After your first check the money comes on a monthly basis sometimes allot sooner depending if you shoot video or still pictures. Video money comes in allot faster usually in 2 weeks or less.
Now hurry and go out and buy your camera and start making money!

Celebrity Gossip – The Price of Fame
Jun 24th
Fame can be costly at times. The wide range of celebrity gossip sites provide proof of the fact that people like talking and knowing about celebrities. The vast popularity of the celeb gossip portals see a lot of traffic each day, asserting it that people love to read about them and be updates. Entertainment news sites are coming up every other day to keep you posted on what is happening in tinsel town. But this life is something that gets under the skin of the celebrities. They complain that their every little act or the lack of it is reported in the columns.
Celebrities have a major complaint against the celebrity gossip portals. The complaint is simple: they need to be left alone when they want their private moments to remain so. Celeb gossip sites are in no mood to relent because trespassing into the private lives of the celebrities is their bread and butter. They are only feeding an insatiable demand of the readers of the entertainment news columns. Nothing makes these portals tick than inside scoops about what is happening behind the scenes. The paparazzi would give an arm and a leg for a shot of a celebrity hanging around with an extra-marital partner.
The debate boils down to the basics: are celebrity gossip sites the price that celebrities pay. There are some celebrities who like to take the celeb gossip sites in their stride. They shrug them off with the comment that they worked hard to get noticed, so they don’t have any problem with the paparazzi taking pictures of them at random. Many of these celebrities are accustomed to their private moments being splashed all over the newsprint and the internet. They have grown used to the fact and they can live around with this lack of privacy as necessary evil.
Come to think of it, celebrity gossip sites do things the right way, when there is an opportunity. If you are an entertainment news junkie, you know that there are these times when the celeb gossip sites pay the celebrity for shots of their wedding or even of their newborns. Sometimes the celebs relent and they make tons of dough on the deals of the pictures. There are other times when the celebrity decides to keep things under wraps. That’s when the reporters working on the beat decide to get adventurous. They think of ways to crack open the security ring that the celebrities throw upon themselves.
A famous case is when Catherina Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas got married. Despite the millions of dollars and the police and the private security protecting them from the paparazzi, and each guest personally welcomed by the marriage planner himself with the help of an undisclosed security code, an ingenuous person still got in and took snaps! The celebrity gossip magazine that published the pictures got sued but this set an historical example that no celebrity and no event was away from the infiltration of celeb gossip reporters!
The Many Interests and Topics in Magazines
Jun 23rd
While there is a lot of information on the internet, magazines are by no means a dying breed! The beautiful glossy photos, easy-on-the-eyes text, and in-depth exclusives from experts and aficionados have few rivals for pure production quality compared to web sites. From dogs to planes to the outdoors to celebrities to science to a seemingly infinite number of other interests, it’s a guarantee that somewhere there is a magazine about something you love that you’re not subscribing to. With the majority of magazines costing roughly a movie rental or two for an entire year, what are you waiting for? To help you get started, Just Magazines is here with a quick recap of the world of magazines. While the niche topics available are innumerable, magazines tend to fall into four general categories.
If you were to name magazines off of the top of your head, chances are most of the names you recite would fall under “general interest” magazines. Since they are meant to appeal to a wide audience, they tend to be more popular and command rack space at your grocery store. The articles tend to be shorter and an easier read, with many pictures, which is great for getting the feel of popular culture and solid, basic information on important current events. There also tend to be many advertisements, as high circulation means high demand and huge profits for the magazine publishers.
Niche magazines tend to cover specific topics for enthusiasts. Whether you like trains, hot air balloons, popular science, video games, cosmetics, fitness, or a million other things that are about innumerable interests, there’s a magazine about something you love. In-depth articles and exclusive information all financed by companies that provide goods and services related to your interest usually make for some of the best information available on some subjects, often rivaling the world wide web which often cannot compare to magazines in quality, as it makes it more difficult for an organization with paid staff to turn a profit. Not to mention-even the fanciest most expensive monitor on the market just doesn’t hold a candle to the image quality in a glossy, full-color magazine!
There are also scholarly or academic magazines. While niche magazines tend to be more commercially-oriented, these magazines are more focused on pure knowledge-based topics. As they are usually not as filled with advertising in order to make sure that the content and articles aren’t compromised in order to keep advertisers happy, subscription prices tend to be a bit higher. However, they are often the exclusive source of the latest information on some subjects. These are mostly methods for students and scientists to share information and research so that they can peer review experiments and data, or discuss issues specific to that field. If you have a serious academic interest in anything, subscribing to relevant magazines and journals is a must.
In stark contrast, the final general type of magazine is the sensational or tabloid magazine. They often are laid out like smaller newspapers, but unlike newspapers, tend to have a very specific focus on celebrities and popular concerns such as fad diets and fashion. The pages tend to be more pictures than words, usually of celebrities and often wrapped up in some sort of scandal. Usually the content is provided by freelancers and paparazzi, and mainly focuses on the sensational. The journalistic integrity of what is printed is often quite dubious! However, these sorts of magazines sell very well, and we understand if you don’t want to admit that you love the gossip-we won’t tell!
There are a lot of magazines out there for you to subscribe to, and there is likely something out there that you love that you’re not subscribing to. What are you waiting for? There are lots of special rates and discounts available on the internet. You’re only a few clicks away from having the best information on your favorite subjects delivered to your door.
